I have a daily habit of working on side projects, and I've come to appreciate the benefits of tracking that habit out in the open. If I'm doing work on a software project, I track that on GitHub. If it's more hands-on, I like to post an update here.
Got a stack of paper in the mail today. It's a bit heavier than what I've used so far (120 g/m², as opposed to the usual 80 g/m²). But more importantly, it's the right size (A5). This saves work and eliminates one source of inaccuracy.
Looking forward to trying it, but first I need to finish notebook #4.
Got some unexpected workshop time yesterday and started working on notebook #4. Tried some new techniques for preparing the signatures, and got these done faster than with any previous notebook build. Very satisfying, to see this kind of progress!
Finished notebook #3 last weekend. This one's got a bookmark! Hoping to start working on #4 this week.
I talked about the Screw Pad before, which was a product I intended to sell. I no longer plan to do that, so to wrap up the project, I decided to make it open source.
