This website has been archived and is no longer being updated. Mostly because my life took a different turn at some point, with less making/manufacturing stuff to write about.

Updates

I have a daily habit of working on side projects, and I've come to appreciate the benefits of tracking that habit out in the open. If I'm doing work on a software project, I track that on GitHub. If it's more hands-on, I like to post an update here.

  1. The latest version of the 3D-printed side cover of my Prusa Mini enclosure. It has a star-shaped hole that a piece of PTFE tube is stuck in.

Another upgrade to the printer enclosure: Just having a hole for the filament to go through turned out to not be ideal. Too much friction. A bit of PTFE tube should help.

I'm quite proud of my idea to go with a star-shaped hole. Has a bit of flex, so the tube can go in easily, but the fit is still very tight.

  2. Notebook #5, finished.

    Finished notebook #5 today!

  3. The back of my Prusa Mini enclosure. Power supply and light switch are glued on, using double-sided tape. Cables are zip tied.

I took care of the cable management for the Prusa Mini enclosure today. Decided not to overthink it, and just use double-sided tape and zip ties.

  4. The text block for notebook #5, corners rounded.

Another little bit of progress on notebook #5: rounded the corners.

  5. The text block of notebook #5, mostly finished.

Continued working on notebook #5. Mostly finished the text block. Still need to round the corners.
